Come and use nail foils with me in card making.

COME AND USE NAIL FOILS WITH ME! I’m part of a super fun card-making group that meets once a month to exchange cards. In September, I volunteered to lead our “Make & Take” project. I was a little nervous since these ladies really know their stuff! Then I remembered a technique I tried ages ago using nail foils and thought—why not bring that to the table? ✨ Foiling with Nail Foils – Quick & Easy! ✨ What you'll need: A piece of cardstock you'd like to foil Nail foils (I found mine on Amazon) Adhesive – I used my Xyron for full coverage, but a tape runner works too 📌 Here’s how to do it: Apply adhesive to the area you want foiled—like I did with the bow on my card (see below!). Place the dull/non-shiny side of the foil onto the sticky surface. Rub firmly to transfer the foil onto the cardstock. Slowly peel the foil sheet away to reveal your shiny, foiled design! 💡 Tip: If a spot didn’t foil completely, just reapply adhesive and repeat the...

Come and use the Betterpress by Spellbinder's with me!

Come and use the Betterpress by Spellbinders with me! A few months ago I went to a 2 day event that was sponsored by Spellbinders and it was so much fun.  We got a ton of spellbinders dies and toured the offices and warehouse.  We did a couple make and takes at the office and one was with the Betterpress system.  I fell in love with the crispness of the press and how beautiful the cards turned out.  Its rally hard to see unless its in person but the image is pressed into the cotton paper making it look like a professional print. The better press works with a lot of different machines including the BigShot, Vagabond, Sizzix Switch, and Spellbinders Platinum.  It really just needs to fit the Betterpress through without an issue.  I would imagine if you can fit an old steel rule die, you can fit the Betterpress inside the machine. I am involved in a monthly card swap and decided to use my Betterpress for them. You first put your metal press plate on the...

Come and see what I did with My Favorite Things Stamp Set "Evolving Friends"

I was shopping one day and came across this stamp set that was "evolving friends".  It as perfect for my daughters next birthday.  She loves this character and I knew she would love it. This brand is a great brand and I own several of their dies/stamps and they work well! I always use my Misti for placement, its one of my favorite tools.  I have another blog about how to use it and how awesome it is if you do not already own one.  I then colored in the stamps with my Spectrum Noir markers and had my Cameo 5 cut them out for me using the pixscan mat. I love how the card turned out.  What do you think? Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog.  Follow me here and on Instagram! www.imginbugcrafter.com www.instagram.com/imginbugcrafter

October's Card Club Card

October's Card Club! This month the club decided to do a Christmas Theme but to make card kits.  I love this idea as that way you can customize the way the cards look.   It also was challenging as you want to make something that will be easy to put together and not require too much.  I chose to use my Silhouette Cameo 5 to cut the design out.   I found this cute reindeer and made a few alterations.  The card is larger than a regular A2 card so I ended up making envelopes as well. This is the end result: I also decided to cut a pc of brown cardstock for the inside and made those cute stickers from my cameo as well. I printed out a copy of the card I made so that the people have a reference on how to assemble the card and put one in each card kit.  I ended up also putting them in clear cellophane envelopes so that its easier to keep all those bits together!  I am so excited to give these away and excited to see what i get. Please follow ...

Come to the monthly card club with me!

I have recently joined a card club!  We meet every month and exchange cards or card kits.  The ladies are so nice and so creative.  I cannot wait to see what they make next! The next card I made for the swap had to be Halloween or fall themed.  I chose this cute dog ghost card for my theme.  I included a wobbler so that the dog shakes as well!  I love how it turned out. I really love being part of a monthly card club as it really makes you create and gets the juices flowing.    What do you think of this one?  I really love it. Thank you for reading and please consider following my blog! ImGinbugCrafter

Come and do a card swap with me!

Come and do  card swap with me! So I have been officially scrapbooking since around 2000 or 2001 but then got into cards at some point.  I think because my friend Sandra started making them.  I have never done an official card swap until recently.  I went to the Creative Escape/Spellbinder retreat and thought hmmmm Ill try it out!   The only rule was you had to make 21 cards and had to use a spellbinders product.  I knew from seeing other card swaps that I prob needed to make 21 of the same card so that is what I got started on.   I felt like to really do the right thing, I would include envelopes, clear plastic sleeves, and the card in each little packet. I've really loved this die and never used it so I had to make the Sunday Drive Christmas card from Spellbinders. I ended up with a ton of really nice cards that other people made.  I love this spellbinders set but it was a lot of work. Let me know what you think! Thank you for re...

Mint Stamp Machine by Silhouette

Come and make a stamp with me! I haven't used my stamp making machine in quite some time.  My husband is a Special Ed teacher and he asked me today if Amazon sold custom stamps and I laughed and said, your wife does! He couldn't believe that I could make stamps!  haha so I designed a stamp for him to use for his teacher passes etc. The supply list is really all Silhouette branded items as for the stamp maker I feel theirs come out best.  I have seen others use reinkers from your current collection and they work. Supplies Silhouette Mint Machine Silhouette Mint stamp kit, I chose the 15x60 mm set Silhouette reinkers I designed the stamp in the Mint software that comes with the machine. We have beetles so he wanted a beetle on his stamp. You simply feed the stamp blank into the machine and the machine accepts it and makes your stamp in seconds. You adhere the stamp blank on the block it comes with.  Then you want to put ink onto the pad di...

Come Use a MISTI With Me!

Come and use a MISTI with me! Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented (that is what MISTI stands for) Out of all the stamping tools I have used, I prefer the MISTI. There are several similar items on the market and if you have a different brand, use it.  MISTI was the first brand to come out with this type of stamping tool.  A few of my Best Friends got together for my 40th birthday and gifted me my MISTI.  I have the 8.5x11 inch version and I LOVE it.  I prefer to stamp with it.  I love that if I do not get a clear image the first time, I can go back and reink it.  I do not know everything about using a MISTI but I will show you how I use it. A few things you can do with the MISTI or any stamping platform: Layering Stamps Perfect impressions Mass Producing cards Stamping on die cuts (after you have cut them) Large Stamps, background stamps, solid stamps easily Cleaning your misti, I have had good luck with the stampin up cleaner and have had no ...

Come use the Brother Scan N Cut with me!

Come use the Brother Scan N Cut with me! I have not blogged in a while.  I have been crafting and maybe just having too much crafting fun and not documenting it as much as I should. Okay, To start off......I know I am crazy!  I have quite a few cutting machines.  I have the Silhouette Portrait 3 and 4, Cameo 4 and 5 on the way, and Curio, the Cricut Maker, (just got rid of the Joy), and now I am the proud owner of a Brother Scan N Cut SDX85 which is known for its scanning abilities.   I decided to try a few projects today.  There will be so much more to come but wanted to get this blog out! I want to start out by saying that I love the PixScan mat feature with my Silhouette Cameo and Portrait but......Wow, the Scan N Cut just sucks up the mat, scans the mat, produces a cut file, and cuts it out for you all within the machine.  BTW it knows the thickness of your paper amd sets the blade itself.  If you are a person that doesn't LOVE technolog...

Singe Quill (by We R Memory Keepers) on Balsa Wood with the Cricut Maker-Come Craft with ME!

Singe Quill by We R Memory Keepers on Balsa Wood with the Cricut Maker-Come Craft with ME! Have you ever thought to yourself.....Wow that wood burning sure looks cool and I have this cool cutting machine that can make any image on wood.  I also bought a kit like 2 years ago that I need to try.  LOL Well I was cleaning my craft room and you know how that goes.  You find some cool stuff!  I found this kit for the singe quill by we r memory makers and its so cool.  So I tried it today with my Cricut Maker.  This kit will work on the Silhouette Cameo as well. I bought the Singe Quill kit, it came with wood and the singe pen and any adapters for your pen housing if you need them.  Cool thing, is the Maker just takes the pen and you don't need an adapter. I designed my image and put it on my canvas in the exact area I needed.  Put my wood on the strong grip mat and taped it down with painters tape.  Remember where you put it because Cricut moves yo...
