As you know I have recently gotten into foiling with the Minc machine.  It uses glue or toner to adhere the foil.  I realized quickly that I really wanted to be able to design my own files to foil. For that I needed a laser printer.  Laser printers are not that cheap so I started doing a lot of research because I REALLY wanted to do this. If you are not aware, there is a YouTube influencer named Nancy Stamps .  She is the foiling queen and if you are interested in foiling, she is the ONLY person you should be paying attention to.  She also has a group on FB called Foiling Snobs Club.  Its where I have gotten all my printer tips.  Nancy uses a Brother laser printer and honestly every tip I have gotten has been from her or her group.  I found her initially by watching a video from Simon Hurley who is another one of my absolute favorite YouTube inf

Come Craft With Me!  We are going to play with the CTMH Embossing Pens and the Glue Quill Pen. I am eager to find out how the Glue Quill Pen holds up to the Heidi Swap Pen that I did a post on previously.  I cannot wait to get some embellishments ready to use. You can use these pens without an electronic cutting machine, but my handwriting is TERRIBLE, so I used my machine to create the images.  If you have good handwriting the same techniques could be used freehand or even with a stencil. Transfer Gel Duo and some paper printed with Toner ink and ran through my Minc I bought some transfer gel due from amazon and tried it out.  This Duo gel will work with the Minc (hot foil) as well as through your manual die cutting machine.  I will try both and show you the results. Items used: Minc Foil Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO Cardstock Stencil Minc Manual Die cutting machine First I tried foiling with my Minc. Look at the great results! I used this stencil from Park Lane. This is what my stencil looked like after applying the transfer gel duo. I lifted the stencil off and let it dry completely clear. After it dried I applied the foil and ran it through my Minc. Below are a few other stencils I used.  I am not sure where I got them but some of them came from The Dollar Tree. Next, I will use my Sizzix Sidekick to get the duo gel to transfer. At the Paper Collage   www.thepapercollage.net My favorite craft store in the valley.  If you live in AZ its worth your while to head over and meet Pam the owner.  Pam and her daughter run the store and are always so nice and happy to greet her customers. I have done multiple crops and classes at her store and she has a huge workshop area to sit people. She carries her own line of stamps and papers that are adorable and the best quality! One of the items she usually carries is called a mystery box.  I have bought 2 and I am hooked. I'm not sure why, but I LOVE foil and foiling.  I don't actually foil all that often but I love how it looks.  My husband bought me the Minc Foil machine for Valentines Day and I'm excited to play with it.
