Come and Make Shaker Cards with Me and Queen & Company!

I LOVE Queen & Company shaker cards.  One of my best friends started showing me their products years ago and I fell in love with the ease of making them.

They have so many kits available to purchase.  To find them visit Queen & Co (queenandcompany.com)

Come Craft Queen & Co. with Me!

I recently purchased their hot air balloon shaker card kit and their suitcase shaker card kit.

The hot air balloon kit includes enough product to make 4 cards minus the shaker toppings or shaker bits.  Once you are done with their precut shaker components, you can purchase more or make your own with the dies included in the kit.

You get:

4 envelopes
4 cards shaped as hot air balloons
4 acetate covers
4 shaped foams
3 dies (The hot air balloon, outline die, and basket die)

I love that you can use any color paper and it comes out beautiful.

All the sentiments were done with different die sets that I own.

As you can see below I used some floral papers, bakers twine, sequins for my toppings,  inked the sides with walnut distress oxide, and used my shimmer brushes for a touch of glitter.

I love the way they turned out.  You can add any sentiment, I chose birthday cards because I have a ton of birthdays coming up.

Below are some suitcase shakers I made as well.  Again, the kit came with the cards (6 cards in this kit), and dies but not the outline die.  You can purchase that separately but being a rectangle I am pretty sure I can just cut some acetate if I want to make a few more.  I wasn't sure how much I would like a suitcase but I think its super cute.

Queen and Company have a ton of shaker kits and they add more very often.  If you own any, which are your favorites?

Come and make your own sublimation spray with me!

Come make some sublimation spray with me! You are asking yourself what is sublimation spray and what is it used for? Well, as you may or may not know, you have to sublimate on polyester.  The higher the % of polyester the higher chance your image will stay on the item you are subbing on. Well, I found a way to make some spray that you can spray on cotton or any other fabric and it will sublimate.   For instance, I tried sublimating on this random patch I have.  I don't know what it is made of so i wanted to see if it would work.  It didn't.   Random Patch with no sub spray: Then I made the sublimation spray. Items you need: Polycrylic protective finish, I used clear satin but you can use clear matte as well. Spray Bottle Water Then your usual sublimation products: Sub paper Sub printer Heat press Fabric to sublimate on To make the spray, use 8 ounces of water and 2 tablespoons of Polycrylic.  Mix them together into a jar (I used a maso...

Stamping Foam!  Craft With Me! You can heat this puppy up and press anything into it to make a stamp.   This is the first time I have used this item and it was super simple to use.  I got the hang of it really fast and I will be using it a ton.  I was really impressed that I got such good impressions the very first time I used it.  You could also use this with an acrylic block I just didn't see a need. Come and use the Betterpress by Spellbinder's with me!

Come and use the Betterpress by Spellbinders with me! A few months ago I went to a 2 day event that was sponsored by Spellbinders and it was so much fun.  We got a ton of spellbinders dies and toured the offices and warehouse.  We did a couple make and takes at the office and one was with the Betterpress system.  I fell in love with the crispness of the press and how beautiful the cards turned out.  Its rally hard to see unless its in person but the image is pressed into the cotton paper making it look like a professional print. The better press works with a lot of different machines including the BigShot, Vagabond, Sizzix Switch, and Spellbinders Platinum.  It really just needs to fit the Betterpress through without an issue.  I would imagine if you can fit an old steel rule die, you can fit the Betterpress inside the machine. I am involved in a monthly card swap and decided to use my Betterpress for them. You first put your metal press plate on the...
